Work Placements

Sometimes the best way to prepare for something is to get stuck in and have a go!

As part of your support with A4e, we will provide you with the opportunity to take part in a work placement, and give you the chance to meet employers and experience work first hand.

We work with over 100,000 UK employers to provide you with hands-on practical experience across a range of industries, including retail, manufacturing and healthcare

Your Community: Get involved

If you don’t feel ready for a work placement, we can provide you with the opportunity to become involved in community work in your local area.  We work with local community organisations that can help you get used to a working environment in preparation for paid employment. 

This could involve:

• Restoring a local community centre
• Gardening and landscaping projects
• Working for local charity organisations
