Special programmes (funded by European Social Fund)
A4e works in partnership with the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) and LSC (Learning and Skills Council) to deliver a range of programmes, offering advice and guidance, support and training to help you along the journey towards employment.
How can ESF programmes help me?
Here is is a quick ‘snapshot’ of some of the programmes we currently deliver:
- Inspire to Aspire – We provide personal mentoring support for those who may find it more difficult to get back in to work, including single parents and people with disabilities.
- The ROW Project – We help people over the age of 50 to obtain sustainable employment, develop employability skills, and provide an aftercare service when in work.
- Plymouth Works Plus – We tackle barriers to work which are preventing people from working, and offer employment programmes on entrepreneurship and skills for business.
- Horizon – We work with those that are furthest away from working and need to overcome multiple barriers, providing them with Intensive Support tailored to their specific needs.
ESF Hardest to Help Support Project Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) and the European Social Fund encompasses the West London Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Ealing to provide support to those looking to overcome their various barriers and assist with their progress back into work.
This is a voluntary programme with flexible attendance - up to 15 hours per week – for local residents of the above-mentioned Boroughs, facing difficulties in gaining employment, for example, long-termed unemployed, ex-offenders, lone parents, those needing additional language support (ESOL), people with disabilities and those with social issues.
The programme incorporates active Job Search and job-finding techniques and allows Participants to work with our dedicated staff team to set up, follow and review their own personal action plan and progress.
