Flexible New Deal
A4e works with Jobcentre Plus to deliver Flexible New Deal programmes that are designed to get you ready for work and help you find and stay in a job.
What’s New?
Flexible New Deal has been introduced by the government to help people who have been out of work for a long time, prepare for and find a job.
It’s a completely new approach and being Flexible it means that A4e are free to help you in the way that’s best for you. We will work with you for up to 12 months to ensure that you are prepared and ready to work and then continue to support you when you get a job.
Flexible New Deal provides joined up support for you and A4e will work with local partners to deliver activities and training to support you in your journey into work. These might include anything from debt and housing advice, support with job search and CV writing to work placements and training to get you ready for a particular job. We will also work with local employers to ensure that we can identify opportunities and work with them to identify suitable people to fill roles.
Flexible New Deal - Starting the Journey
Since FND launched in October 2009 we have had lots of people ask what is different about FND?
Specifically, how is A4e approaching the challenge of delivering a truly personalised service to the 450,000 people we are expected to work with in the next 7 years?
In response, we have put together these short films which give an overview of FND, how we have set up the service with our partners and how we are rising to the challenge of delivering the most innovative welfare service ever introduced.

About A4e
How can Flexible New Deal help me?
Every individual who joins the programme is given individually tailored support on their journey to find the right job. With Flexible New Deal, you will be supported throughout your journey (link to customer journey) by our advisors, providing one-to-one support.
They will support you by :
• Working with you to review where you are now, find out your goals and aspirations and what type of job you are looking for.
• Discussing and agreeing the steps you want to take on your journey and developing your plan of activities, guidance and training to ensure that you are fully prepared to start work.
• Helping you move into work by working with you to tune up some of your skills such as interview skills and CV writing. You’ll also take part in a four-week ‘work boost’ – it does what it says on the tin and boosts your chances for finding suitable work.
• Continuing to support you when you are in work, offering guidance and advice if, and when you need it. You may need help with finding childcare or support when moving off benefits. We can help with all this too, so you can get on with enjoying your life and your new job.
Am I eligible?
